Riffelhaus 1853 - Reservar uma mesa

This review relates to the restaurant, not accommodation. Absolutely terrible service at this place. Do not go here. We had to wait over an hour for fondue and asked staff what was going on as they didn't communicate at all. When our fondue did finally arrive our hot wine was well and truly cold and they couldn't be enjoyed together. Also the cheese was not fully melted and we found chunks at the bottom of the pot. The amount of time we spent waiting was outrageous and limited our plans for the rest of the day on the mountain. Also to make the situation worse the outdoor chairs were not well maintained and the broken arm rest caused a large and painful splinter in my partners hand. Such thin...

Das Innere des Restaurants ist sehr stilvoll. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Die Gäste wissen es sehr zu schätzen, dass sie von der Wirtin in einer ihnen verständlichen Sprache angesprochen werden, sei es schweizerdeutsch, französisch, englisch... Die Wirtin befragt wohl vorher ihr Personal und tritt dann in der richtigen Sprache an den Tisch. Das Essen ist sehr ausgesucht und gut zubereitet.Die Aussicht auf das Matterhorn und auf die umliegenden Berge ist atemberaubend.

Sehr hilfsbereit und freundliches Personal. Sie haben sich sehr auf unser glutenfreies Essen auf Grund von 3 Personen mit Zöliakie eingestellten. Die Kindern bekamen Malsachen zur Beschäftigung beim Warten auf das Essen. Wenn es voll ist muss man etwas geduldig sein.

The hotel offers a stunning view, especially from the jacuzzi, and the room facilities are adequate.
