Charming restaurant, well reputed, but don 't come here alone and expect to choose from their vaunted combo menu options. Apparently one diner alone cannot do this, two minimum, and no this is not clear on the menu, it says full table . Because it is unclear I specifically asked the server if I could still order the combo and was told sure. I had ordered my choices with the server without issue and was excited for 2 apps, 1 pasta and one main, when the owner called the server over and when we she returned I was told oops nope sorry can 't do that, because I 'm sitting alone. The best pasta dinner I've had in a long time! So good we forgot to take a picture of it before starting to eat. They all looked so delicious and tasted so flavourful. The host, server and chef were impressive. We were with a very large party and food and service were EXCELLENT! Food was served family style. 2 appetizers, Caesar salad and penne with 2 different sauces for only $23 per person? Amazing! The bruschetta and arancini were delicious as was the salad. Pasta was cooked to perfection. They were also really accommodating with those in our group who were gluten-free. We will definitely return when we are in Windsor again!
Dan is always efficient and an amazing chef. Every dish is flavourful and beautifully displayed.The staff is friendly with a warm smile.The All you can eat Mini Grande is one of my personal favourites.It 's a very popular place. I 'd suggest making a reservation.Please be sure to compliment Dan before leaving because it 's one of the few places where you can see Dan enjoying being the amazing Chef that he is. The food came out in courses like Nonna's house. I think each plate was $33 but we had deep fried mushrooms, bruschetta, salad, Pasta in an amazing blush sauce, chicken Parm and veal. First time here, definitely not the last.There's a city lot right next door. Free after 6 just like the meters.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get in, easily wheel chair or mobility assistance accessible.
The food was amazing!! We had the pasta for 2 which comes with 2 apps, salad and 2 pastas, so yummy we tried the bruschetta which was garlicky goodness and mushroom caps which were so good! I had the penne with Dan sauce and it was excellent..to top it off for dessert I had a peanut butter ice cream cake! Highly recommend the food and service!
Tonight me and a friend ate here for my birthday! I have to say for my first time here I am very impressed with the large portion sizes of food. The staff is extremely friendly. The food also tastes extremely delicious. Amazing authentic italian food. I highly reccomend coming here. I had an amazing expereince. I'll definetly be back!!
Avanti is a true Windsor hidden gem. The breaded mushrooms are divine. And the pasta sauce is so fresh you’d think it was made 5 seconds before it hit the table.
