River Kwai Thai and Burmese Restaurant

We found this place on trip advisor and as my friend said at the end of the meal “Thank you Trip Advisor”. We had the fish cakes and satay chicken skewers for entree they were both amazing. I had food envy over my friend’s fish cakes until I tasted my satay soooo delicious. I chose the chef’s special can’t remember the exact name it was sang hang or something like that. I chose seafood to go in it and I was not disappointed. My friend chose Pad Thai and said it was very good indeed. Neither of us could finish our meal the portions were so big enough for dinner the next night. The service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely go here again

Unique Dish: ENORMOUS, Juicy, Flavoursome Seafood, Authentic Tom Yum Soup. Food: Good Portion size. Sedap Curry. Tender Chicken Curry. Service: Servers are well presented, smiling polite. Came quickly to us when we raised our hands for service. Atmosphere: Well decorated Clean. Temperature is Climate Controlled. Toilet is clean. Great Music at the right volume. Price: Value for I give it 5 5 stars. This really is a hidden gem! I came here with my husband and 2 children (age 5 and 1) and we all enjoyed it. The beef curry was delicious and tender and the barramundi was a winner with all of us. The kids loved the soft shell crab. Portions was generous and we all left very full. Service was friendly and really helpful. Definitely one to go back to. Worth booking ahead as we tried to walk in the week before and couldn't get a table.

After starting a very pleasant dinner everything was fine until my son said hey mom there’s a caterpillar that’s been cooked on this dish. When we reported to the staff apologized and made a fresh batch of that same dish . We thought that we would get a credit for that one dish not the whole meal but that wasn’t to be we had to pay full price for this type of experience.Sorry but never coming back ever again.

Nicely decorated, friendly efficient staff. Started with fish cakes then noodles with seafood (enough to take some home for lunch next day), both delicious. My friend had chicken satay one of the noodle specials, said they were lovely. Meals were big size delivered in a timely manner. Will return again. Recommend.
