The drinks were excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere, especially by the riverfront outside, was beautiful. Our server, Allison B, was very kind and attentive. However, our experience was overshadowed by the hostess, Nicole, who abruptly told us we had a 20-minute time limit midway through our meal without any explanation. This made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. We ended up moving to the bar to finish our meal, only to find our empty table still sitting untouched after 30 minutes. This place is fantastic, good beer options and great food! Everything we ordered was delicious, especially my pulled pork sandwich served with some really good crispy fries. The ambiance is amazing, vibrant and fun. They have so much to do there. Ax throwing, they have a big climbing thing with ropes and even a floating picnic table. Arcade games for the kids and they even allow dogs in the outdoor patio area. The service was excellent and there is plenty of parking. The beer is pretty good. The food isn't great. We had the pork nachos, and it seemed to be covered in Cheese Whiz. Many people were ordering pizza. That may be the way to go. We sat at an outdoor table near the bar. The view was beautiful, but the music was really bad and really loud. We had to yell to hear each other. They may have been trying to drown out the noise from the waste incineration plant next door or the music from the wedding upstairs. I wish they would lower the volume and play reggae music instead--or even some cool tiki bar music. That would be awesome. The restrooms were disgusting, but that may not be the staff's fault. There were a lot of kids.

For a stunning river view and delicious beers and cocktails, head to River Outpost. Their spicy margaritas are some of the best in the area. One downside is the lack of vegan options on the menu, with only a beyond burger available. If they offered at least one fully vegan item, we would frequent this place much more. Instead, we usually opt for Peekskill Brewery, which has great vegan options, and stop by River Outpost for drinks on our way home. My non-vegan husband enjoys the pizza here a lot. I ordered a fish burrito that was very dry and had to ask for some type of sauce. The fries were cold and tasted like they were three days old. However, the smoked platter was good. Unfortunately, they ran out of Cabernet, which was surprising. We had to settle for Chianti, which was just okay. The bartender was great. The bathroom was in desperate need of updating. The atmosphere was lovely, especially on a nice summer evening.

I was only here once and only got to have one of their beers, but I'll probably go back again. First off the view is great and they have a good selection of beers. There's a ton of video games and such and its good for kids or a mixed kid and adult hangout where you don't watch your kids much. Actually in retrospect i did go back and had some good food too. There's also a wedding venue upstairs that occupied most of my time.

We had a large group of 20+ in our party to which I made a reservation in advance. We had lunch with a stunning view of the water and boats at the marina. The entire staff are friendly I have to give a shout out to our server Brianna, she was so sweet, checked in on us, went above and beyond and took great care of our party. There were plenty of great options to choose from and the food was delicious and cooked well!

Just skip the BBQ menu at river outpost. Honestly I 'm surprised the chef is allowing this **** to leave the kitchen. Old dry ass brisket, over cooked and reheated. Tasteless, tough, and dry. Ribs sucked less but still sucked. Pickles and cole slaw were great. Menu says the wings are smoked, they are not smoked. Honestly pathetic BBQ food, go to Peekskill Smokehouse instead. Love River Outpost!! Great place for any kind of gathering; dinner with friends, date night, families, etc. They have options if you're gluten free celiac. I got the white pizza on cauliflower crust and the chopped salad. Service is always great. The outdoor bar is a must in the warmer months! Can't beat the view!!

I highly recommend River Outpost. The pizza is really delicious. The staff is very friendly, professional and very helpful and quick. The views are breathtaking of The Hudson River!
