Rose And Thistle - Reservar uma mesa

Gave 3 stars as I would consider the food to be pretty average. We went on a Sunday so had the roast. It was OK once covered in gravy but most things seemed a bit burnt the roasties, the yorkshire pudding and even the roasted carrot which was black at the bottom. Having said that, I think it might have just been an off day and would definitely give them a 2nd chance. The meat, mash and veg were tasty and the waitress who served us was lovely and could not have done enough for us.

From the first minute we entered the pub we had an amazing welcome from Simon and all the regulars We highly reccomend the chilli and the steak pies are to die for Amazingly friendly place many good times to be had in what we will be calling our local when we are back over The quiz night is good run by Kevin many thanks to Pat for inviting us onto her team The rose is always supporting local charities we highly recommend visiting Oh and the beer is really nice

If you want the best Sunday roast then head for this place. Lamb Shanks (yummy,yummy with all the trimmings 17 euro, Roast Beef Trimmings 15 euro, 6 large screens for the footy and a pint of lager 3.5 euro. BUT make sure you pre book as it is very popular, we saw walk-ins being refused entry

Pleasant bar with a good selection of beers and also tapas. Prices good and both food and drinks good value for money. Will be going again this week

Very friendly place at the side of the marina. Lovely staff and incredible food. When we come back to the area we'll be going to this bar again.
