We arrived arround 6pm on a Sunday in July. To start, the food was good and the setting on the deck overlooking the lake was nice. However, we waited 1/2 hour before our order for drinks were taken and then another 1/2 hour before food order taken. By then 2 of our friends had to leave for a long drive home. They couldn't wait any longer. Then no rice for jerk chicken- mashed potatoes substituted and that was ok; then the dessert we wanted was not available. The worst part was when we left. My sister tried to use a gift card that was purchased approx. 14 months ago. She was told that it was almost 3 years old and had expired. However they would honor it. It made my sister feel very uncomfort...
Had dinner on a friday night. we sat outside, beautiful sunset, gorgeous setting but found my shrimp overcooked, bit tough. So I was a bit disappointed as I had made reservation for lunch the following monday, so wasn't sure if that was a good choice.Was back on monday for lunch , there were four of us and one "very grumpy toddler". We arrived earlier than planned and arrived at same time as Chef Emerol. Told him we were in a hurry and we probably shouldn't stay. He assured me he would get us in and out quickly. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:00 PM on a Sunday in July. Initially, the food was good and we enjoyed the location on the deck with views of the lake. However, we waited half an hour for our drinks to be brought to us, and then another half hour before our food arrived. By that time, two of our friends had to leave for a long journey and could not wait any longer. Furthermore, when we requested rice as a substitute for potatoes with the chicken, they were unable to accommodate. Additionally, the dessert we wanted was not available. On Monday, four of us went for lunch, including a very energetic child. We arrived earlier than planned and coincidentally arrived at the same time as Chef Emeril. I expressed concern about hurrying and possibly not staying, but he assured me that he would get us in and out quickly. He kept his word, and we were out within an hour. We had the most delicious chicken quesadillas ever, to the point where we had to order more. We all enjoyed our lunch, and I couldn't help but wonder who cooked my shrimp on Friday night as it definitely wasn't Emeril. He mentioned that he was one of many chefs. We decided to have a drink on the deck before starting our meal. The service was laid-back, welcoming, and quick! We loved all three appetizers: smoked salmon, Spanish pita, and endive! We highly recommend this restaurant with a view of Cameron Lake. The dinner menu looks enticing, and we will reserve our 5-star rating until we return for dinner!
We stopped by for a drink and appetizers on the deck. The service was relaxed, friendly and efficient! We enjoyed all three appetizers; smoked salmon, spanako pita and soup! We highly recommend this restaurant overlooking Cameron Lake. The dinner menu looks good and we'll save the 5 star rating until we've been there for dinner!
