Rosedale Boathouse

We arrived at the restaurant at 6:00 PM on a Sunday in July. Initially, the food was good and we enjoyed the location on the deck with views of the lake. However, we waited half an hour for our drinks to be brought to us, and then another half hour before our food arrived. By that time, two of our friends had to leave for a long journey and could not wait any longer. Furthermore, when we requested rice as a substitute for potatoes with the chicken, they were unable to accommodate. Additionally, the dessert we wanted was not available. The most disappointing moment came when we tried to use a gift card that had been purchased 14 months ago. We were told it had expired, but they would honor it...

We decided to have a drink on the deck before starting our meal. The service was laid-back, welcoming, and quick! We loved all three appetizers: smoked salmon, Spanish pita, and endive! We highly recommend this restaurant with a view of Cameron Lake. The dinner menu looks enticing, and we will reserve our 5-star rating until we return for dinner!
