"A pub of course (with Guinness on tap), but not the traditional Euro Irish pub. Balancing a bit towards restaurant. Friendly, relaxed, decent food."

We stopped here for lunch. Several restaurants are around this area, but this one looked modern, very clean and was quite busy. Always a good sign if it’s busy! The menu du jour was very good, duck starter, followed by chicken and then apple tart. Very good value and tasty. My wife had fish of the day from the a la carte menu, dorade fillet with vegetables which she loved. All in all a lovely lunch, served with a smile by the proprietor and her young daughter, who made a big fuss of our two labradors. (Dogs allowed inside and on the terrace) . Very warm welcome by owner Barbara who proposed a very tasty selection of tapas for lunchtime. Fried onion rings, salad of octopus, mozzarella sticks and vegetable bahji, along with a superb Saint-Emilion wine at affordable prices. Rosemary’s has a cosy interior: no white light but lights with a golden glow, a bar with a large selection of beers and wines, and it has good acoustics. This is a nice place to be, ample Parking space just in front!

We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit when stopped for refreshments after a walk along the canal. We have subsequently visited twice since to eat. The food is very good and reasonably priced, the owner, Barbara is very pleasant and welcoming. The decor is warm and inviting and there is a good selection of music. (Barbara you owe me one of those delicious bottles of artisanal blond beers on our next visit!

Lovely restaurant and bar in the centre of Agen. The food we had was very good, good value and served with a smile. We sat outside on the terrace on a lovely warm evening with nice cocktails before dinner. Definitely a return visit coming up.
