I came back here recently with a Welsh friend as we fancied an informal lunch Indian style. Reception by the waiter was cool and certainly not overly welcoming. In fact his demeanour throughout our short meal was blunt and to the point - the only real sign of friendliness was a recognition that as Brits we would like our curries to be spicy hot - not bland... It's certainly true that you can not compare this establishment and the food they offer to the sort of Indian restaurant you find anywhere in the UK. Dined here with a group of 10. The food was very good although I'm not very experienced with Indian cuisine. The menu is huge, a lot to choose from. Also an extensive choice for vegetarians. Two points of critisizm: my dish with egg plant in cashewnut sauce could have contained more egg plant. It was more sauce with a little bit of egg plant. To be fair, the dishes with meat, especially the tandoor varieties, had enough meat. The other thing is: the place is awfully packed. We were there on a Saturday night and it seems to be a very popular restaurant, all tables were busy and the owners chose to put up tables so close together that you were almost sitting on your neighbor's lap. Delicious food! No matter what your choice from the menu is, you will likely be satisfied with the taste! I highly appreciated that dishes were served simultaneously and not like in other restaurants where guests get their plate as soon as it's ready regardless of the importance of good timing when eating in company. Personnel is also very kind, although it's not a place to bring your laptop, once I did and asked for their wifi code, which was shared with me problem less. Very recommended if you ever happen to be in Opladen!

So the service could be a bit better but if you are looking for authentic indian food, this is the place to be. Lots and lots of dishes due to a lot of variation (type of meat, etc.) but everything I tasted was exceptional.Lots of spice levels as well and if you want it really authentic spicy then you have to tell that while ordering. we had a meeting in Leverkusen and we had our lunch in this restaurant.The waiter was very friendly,he came out from restaurant and invited in.The service was good.he spoken english.The menü is hugh.all traditional food.the prices are ok.The food was very delicious and very big portions.it was a good decision.
