Royalberry Waffle House

On August 21st, my husband and I visited this restaurant for a late lunch to celebrate our third anniversary and enjoy some quality time together. When I inquired about the chicken and waffles, the waitress informed me that they were out of chicken pieces, but they had chicken strips available. I declined the strips and asked my husband what he wanted instead. It was then that the waitress remarked, "You can go somewhere else." I had a rather unfortunate experience at Royalberry. At first, I felt somewhat uncomfortable with the service, or rather the lack of it; it seemed like I was more of an inconvenience to the server, even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. On the positive side, the food arrived quickly, but if I had known what would happen afterward, I would have asked them to keep it in the kitchen. Almost immediately after leaving, I became extremely ill. It’s such a disappointment because I’ve heard wonderful things about this place!

I ordered the country fried steak, and unfortunately, it was a frozen patty that didn’t taste good at all. The sausage gravy was quite disappointing; it had an off flavor and hardly any sausage in it. The hash browns didn’t taste like potatoes, and my husband mentioned that his meat lover's omelet was just mediocre. We're sorry to say that it's unlikely we'll come back.
