When my girlfriend suggested Rutabagas for dinner, I told myself that I would keep an open mind. I've haven't had a lot of vegan food, and wanted to make sure I gave it a fair shot. And boy did they deliver. I had the Patty melt, and I was blown away. If you were served this, without knowing it was completely meatless, You would have no idea. The restaurant itself is very clean, fresh and modern. The staff was very helpful, and so so nice. It is my favorite restaurant in Lincoln, and in my top 5 restaurants I've been to. If someone you know is skeptical of vegan food, or is just opposed to it, definitely bring them here. The food is amazing, whether you are vegan or not
The food was decent, flavorful and freshly prepared although a bit salty. The chef was great, friendly, welcoming and warm. The guy that was the cashier was not suited for a customer service position, at least not the day that I went in. I know everyone is more stressed and businesses have a challenging time finding employees, Not eager to help, poor attitude and overall grumpy cat. I was the only one in the restaurant, so it wasn't that the place was overly busy. LEt's just say I wish there were more veg options in the states.
I think their brick and mortar is closed which is a bummer but look out for them at events! These vegan nachos are to die for! $14 but worth every penny! The meat is mushroom based and so tasty (coming from someone who HATES mushrooms). Honestly it 's just pure vegan magic for everyone. Thank you for blessing us with this gift of food!
Time after time, drive here from 45 minutes to get food. But, it does not fail that they are out of the food, they had just posted on Instagram. Frustrating experiences to say the least. The food is a 4 out of 5, for taste! More than likely not coming back, which is shame since we love support vegan restaurants.
