Sakana Japanese Grill Sushi

If the health department doesn't shut this place down I would be shocked. The straws and chop sticks are sitting out, unwrapped on the table for any little kids to stick up their nose and put back in the container. The sushi does not taste fresh and my fried roll came out cold and missing ingredients. I was informed after I asked about the missing ingredients that they were out of Caviar. Why didn't they tell me that when I ordered it? A man and his son were here at the same time and the gentleman had to come to the front bar to get his drink refilled then sent his son to take care of the bill with his card. Compared to other sushi places around Wichita, Sakana is way better bang for your buck. Sakana has main dishes of sushi that go up to $16 at the most and you always get 8 giant rolls. The appetizers come out fast and the food comes out before you can finish the appetizers. My favorite is the Phoenix roll and lion king. I must have visited on a bad day. I was the only one there so the service was great! I like the look of the inside and everything seemed clean. That evening I was definitely not feeling well and into the next day. I did recover and have visited this restaurant before without incident. I got three rolls: salmon roll, tuna roll, and spicy salmon roll. Not only was the fish low quality, it was warm. Waitresses were nice but I'd rather get my sushi at the neighboring Dillions.
