The white cheddar cracker mac and cheese was also delicious; I loved the slight crunch from the crackers added right at the end, which kept it from becoming soggy. Unfortunately, we arrived a bit later in the evening, so they had run out of brisket (if that’s a must-try for you, be sure to arrive early). Instead, we chose the burnt ends, which were fantastic, smoked with post oak. I appreciated the selection of sauces provided at our table: My Sweet Bestie sweet heat smoky BBQ sauce, HotTangy medium spicy vinegar wash, Mustarolina tangy scratch-made mustard BBQ sauce, and I Can't Even De Arbol Chile apricot sauce. I dined at this restaurant during a work trip to St. Louis and, as the only vegetarian in a large group, I was pleasantly surprised. The falafel burger was outstanding, featuring amazing flavors with a perfect blend of sweet and salty, along with a satisfying crunch. The gluten-free bun was soft and had a wonderful chewiness, making it hard to believe it was gluten-free. I also enjoyed the side salad of green beans and tomatoes; the green beans were exceptionally fresh and cooked to just the right firmness. Everyone in our group praised their BBQ as well. Overall, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were extremely friendly!

The wings were outstanding, and my husband really enjoyed the ribs. I especially liked the sweet bestie sauce. The mac and cheese was good, but it was a bit different from what I anticipated. I wasn't a fan of the green beans; perhaps I missed the note that they were served cold and had a tough texture, and they lacked flavor. They simply weren’t to my taste. Our bread was burnt, hard, and hollow—fresh bread would have greatly enhanced the experience. Overall, it was a mixed experience, so I would rate it 2.75 out of 5.

I chose to visit this restaurant because I had heard great things about the barbecue, and I was not disappointed—the ribs and brisket were fantastic! However, for my sides, I ordered white cheddar mac and cheese, coleslaw, and cabbage with potatoes. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese and cabbage were mushy and overcooked, and the coleslaw was extremely dry, lacking any moisture. One of my favorite places in St. Louis! The Beef Fat Fries are a solid 4/5. The Fried Chicken Skin is an interesting and tasty appetizer, especially with the sauce that comes with it, which also earns a 4/5. The St. Louis Ribs are fantastic; paired with the Kansas-style BBQ sauce, they're unbeatable. I’d rate the White Cheddar Mac and Cheese a 4/5 as well.

The food was dry and didn't really qualify as good barbecue; it felt more like fast food barbecue. I would give the food a 1, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 2.
