Samandar - Sonja Maria Bellezza

Based on a three course meal: My experience at Samandar was all right. The food was okay and the portion size is big, it just wasn't what I expected. If you eat there you should go with the expectation that you won't be served indian food, but dishes cooked oriental style with oriental spices. If the way they promote the restaurant (keywords: indian, crêpe, afghan and oriental) doesn't already convince you of an ongoing identity crisis, the decoration and menu will. Everything I ate tasted far from authentic and I am convinced my chicken curry (yellow with lotsa cream) tasted exactly like the ones I used to get in european restaurants. Again: nothing I ate was bad! I just won't be going back...

Also vorweg das Essen im Samandar ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Wir hattenn3 Vorspeisen und 4 verschiedene Hauptgerichte. Alles sehr gut, wirklich lecker. Ich behaupte es war das beste indische Essen das ich bis jetzt hatte. Preislich imoberen Segment. Durch die Nähe zur Grenze zu Liechtenstein (ca. 500m) aber verständlich.Der Service ist freundlich.Einziges Probleme - man kann nur bar bezahlen. Keine Kreditkartenzahlung oder mit Bankomat möglich. Also auf jeden Fall Bargeld mitnehmen.Zusätzlich würde ich, vor allem am Wochenende, eine Reservierung empfehlen.

Die Speisen sind hervorragend. Die Atmosphäre im kleinen Restaurant ist gemütlich und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant liegt in ein Wohnquartier und ist nicht leicht zu finden. Die Suche lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Surely this is one of the best restaurants for indian food in all of Vorarlberg. They used to have other things as well, but sadly not any longer, still great place, though! And very nice staff as well.

Ein ausgezeichnetes essen mit ausgezeichneten Gewürzen wo fantastisch einladend zubereitet werden einfach lecker.
