This is wrong, just wrong, this must be rectified. How is Samrats not the no. 1 reviewed restaurant on here? It is the tops, the b.dizzle.schnizzle. I don't bother getting my Indian from anywhere else because there is no point. A few doors down used to be the amazing vegetarian, southern Indian place also, the owner was super keen and really passionate about his food but it is just Samrats now. Samrats is enough for me. I do the spread more often then not. Samosa, couple of curries to choose from, kashmiri pulao rice (nutty and sultanarie), maybe some cottage cheese jobby, naan, etc. you get the point. Have been getting take away here for years, but decided to try eating in for a change.Went with the wife and kids. I haven't ever been to England, but this little restaurant is exactly how I would imagine "going for a curry" as you see on TV!!Appears to be family run, I don't we have ever had a bad feed from here. I had the Tandoori Leg of Lamb, medium. Was probably closer to mild, but was still delicious. Kids had the beef korma, and a butter chicken, which as always, disappeared. We also had our favourite Alo Ghobi vegetarian dish. Was quite busy with eat ins, and a steady stream of people coming in to pick up their take away. FIVE STARS for what is essentially a take away place!!  I LOVE Samrats.  We've been going there for takeaway since we've lived nearby & we feel like we've hit a winner. Samrats is dine in - although I never have - but also very take-away.  Only a small shop, the service is incredibly lovely and friendly, the food is really affordable and to top it off, the food is SO TASTY.  I've had so many things off of the menu here, but the basics are just perfect.  Great Naan, amazing saffron rice with actual saffron and flavour, curries that never skimp on meat or deliciousness. Highly recommend to give them a go & if you live nearby, you've found your new Indian tak... Reserve uma mesa agora

My partner and I would drive 45 minutes from our house every Sunday night just for this places amazing and delicious meals. We are currently traveling the world and miss this place like crazy (this is why I'm reviewing it now). Every Indian place we've tried barely comes close to this places recipes, and that's saying something as we've travelled to Asian countries (not India yet) that you think would be more than capable. We miss you Samrat Tandoori! As soon as we are back in Adelaide this will be our first meal!

As a massive fan of Indian food, I've eaten on 3 continents and know quality when it's on my plate. The chef began cooking at the age of ten, so I understand, and is focused on method more so than anything. It comes through in the final product which is sure to please. If they had a more impressive layout, you'd find them featured in the top 100 restaurants. Don't worry, squirrel this one away as your local hidden gem!

Its my local Restaurant and simply a hidden treasure, owned by the same beautiful family for many years and only licensed in the last few years, simple but very traditional fresh food that represents excellent value. The Restaurant is NOT in Western Australia, its in South Australia in Highgate.

Samrat Tandoori is my favorite restaurant great food, good service and very reasonable pricing. No hesitation to say, best Naan I have eaten. What I love most is menu is not too big and all food items are of very good taste. Very personal service. Reserve uma mesa agora

Haven't dined in here for a while. It is usualy take away. Food is excellent and service friendly. Very close to home. Good value. Love it
