Sam's Boatshed - Reservar mesa

The waitress who greeted us and served us during our stay was a genuine delight, full of personality and very helpful, and this made for a very enjoyable dinner experience. Admittedly we arrived just after 6pm and before the main influx of diners, so we had no issues with the time it took to get our 5 meals. The pizzas were nice with plenty of toppings, and when we asked for some chilli sauce (instead of the chilli flakes) the staff were very accommodating and provided some delicious chilli jam made by the chef.I know this place gets some harsh reviews, but all I can say is that our group had a very nice experience and I'd be happy to come back again for a relaxed meal.

What a disaster. 6 people in our party - 4 adults, 2 kids. Sunday lunch, not too busy. One dish, for one of the kids came out at 75 mins later. Next one for the other kid 15 mins later. Then the two mains after another 10 mins, followed by another main 10 mins later. The last main just never arrived.... no explanation.The salmon was not cooked, steak over cooked, surf and turf smothered in a white sauce. Prawns were well cooked and steak was tasty.Service was atrocious. And, it seemed like there were many others having the same experience.Hopefully just having a bad day, but won't be back, and can't in all honesty, recommend it to anyone else. Sadly.

I'm glad to see that later reviews have picked up on Sam's. Our first dining experience here was enjoyable. The food, while nothing spectacular was thoughtful, well presented and there was plenty of it. Prices were also very reasonable. Service was quick and attentive, plenty of atmosphere and a choice of both inside or outside dining to suit the weather and time of meal. I'd rate this place above nearby Williamstown venues that charge a damn site more and fail to provide food or service half as good as that provided at Sam's.

A cosy atmosphere added a warm ambience to our lunch time dining.The service was prompt and efficient. The soy honey chicken wings were tasty for an entree. My husband enjoyed the goats cheese special pizza. I thought the chicken and spinach risotto was plentiful and well presented. We were both contented and satisfied after our meals. The prices were also very reasonable. We shall visit again soon. Reserve uma mesa agora

Bit surprised about the mixed reviews. We have been here twice over the last 12 months, but on both occasions were not disappointed. Admittedly, the food is nothing special, but it is still very reasonable for the price. I also like the atmosphere. The service has improved and the staff are really friendly. Overall, a great place for some casual dinning.

I had Sam's beef ragu (pasta) - it was heaven! The pizza and fish and chips that my friends had, according to them, were also nice. The ambience was very casual inside the restaurant and thus it's a good place for chilling out.

Worst dining experience ever. Kids fish was like rubber (not an exaggeration). Flat soft drink that could not/would not be corrected. Stale chips. Runny watery sauces on all dishes. Medium well steak comes out rare. Awful!

Have only ever ordered take away pizza from here but really yummy and great vegetarian options and very reasonable priced. I would highly recommend the pizza. Reserve uma mesa agora

Had a good healthy lunch with a fresh platter and topped off with some wine from a great selection. Will definitely go back again.

Great atmosphere and excellent food. Good value... Even the kids enjoyed it. Will definitely return.
