Love this old-school Chinese restaurant. Came here for the first time as a group of 3 on a busy Sunday evening and there was a loong wait. I learned pretty quickly that you have to write your name and the number of people in your party on the whiteboard by the door to hold your spot on the queue. However, my family were okay with sitting with strangers so our wait was cut short by possibly 20+ minutes. I haven't eaten here in years since I moved to SJ. I had to at least try it since they closed temporarily. We ordered takeout as the wait was extremely long. We had ordered the original dry fried chicken (San Tung wings), black bean sauce noodles, pork dumplings, pot stickers, combo spicy noodle soup, five spice beef noodle soup, and sauteed string beans. We had ordered takeout for six to seven people. It was definitely enough food. The original wings were still tasty, as I remember. The black bean sauce noodles are always a must try one with their dumplings and pot stickers. The broth for the combo spicy noodles was rich in flavor. Good food. Will definitely go back, but I will try other food on the menu. We enjoyed the fried boneless pork chops and the chicken wings.
