Sarah Jane's Restaurant

I was here a few times. Nice atmosphere. Remind me of a restaurant you'd find in the country, like Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Food was good, not great. The Calamari was not very good and the filled mushroom appetizer tasted as if it was previously frozen and then thawed and heated. The fish filled with crabs was very good, but seems a little overpriced. The cheese cake was excellent. Overall, it is a beautiful place, but a little on the expensive side, which is not in accordance with the quality that I want at the prices they load.

We drove to this place as long as I can remember and for what reason we never stopped. We have finally made reservations and reviewed it; I can say it's not that hidden gem! The food is delicious and expensive as you would expect. I had a delicious, perfectly cooked steak and my wife had the scallops. Both parts were very generous. Inside the restaurant looks old but clean; the type of place where you feel comfortable. Our waitress was great. I can't wait to go back.

Very good food, good service. Only a disadvantage was a significant waiting even with reservations, but this can be a rare thing. If you are looking for a romantic evening, this is not the place to go as it is a loud family like surroundings, but if that is not what you are looking for, I would definitely recommend going to Sarah Janes.

sara jane’s has a great call to be somervilles best secret for the 40 years great service and great eating. I love eating and bare.

the staff was very friendly, but that was so. my salate tasted as if the carrots were really old. I'm probably not going back.
