Saveurs de l'Abbaye

This was one of the worst meals we have had in France. How bad a meal can be if ‘nouvelle cuisine ‘ is not well executed. Each course then resembles a dull ‘amuse bouche’. You pay an enormous sum for very little and leave the place cross and hungry thinking how you have been conned into paying so much for so little. Oh for the days I can remember when France delighted with good restaurants giving delicious food for such reasonable prices. And the modern practice of the poor waiter standing by our tiny helpings telling us what it was didn’t help either. It was embarrassing and the wipeable brown mat on the table, a cost cutting device, unattractive.

Con una delicada y exquisita decoración, el restaurante Saveurs de l'Abbaye es una de las apuestas seguras donde acertarás seguro. Comer por 17€ y probar las delicias más típicas de Poitou-Charentes ahora es posible en este lugar de Saintes. Pescados, legumbres al wok y arroz con leche con piña colada son algunos de los platos que debes probar sin dudarlo.

We stoped for lunch after a visit if the city. Very nice terrace, beautiful presentation and atmosphere and the food is exceptional! A real pleasure for the eyes and the palate. All their menus are a great value. They even give you an amuse bouche at Lynch even if you take a salad! Excellent choice of wines.

No flavour at all, lack of seasoning, just boring food. Flavour combinations that were there just didn’t go together. Service excellent though. Been here several times before when it was excellent, so real disappointment, can’t recommend it at all Reserve uma mesa agora

original and delicious dish of land and sea, excellent dessert, cocktail without divine alcohol, impeccable service! It's a quick refill, the end of the containment!

Very good reception!! The rooms are comfortable and the remarkable kitchen in value for money. It's an excellent address in Saintes.
