Scalessa's My Way Old School Italian Kitchen

Went for the first time last night and came back today for lunch. That's how good this place is! Rigatoni with Sunday Gravy is amazing and the meatballs are delicious. My husband said it's the best Chicken Cheesesteak he's ever had. Don't forget to save room for dessert. The butter cake melts in your mouth! Both times we were greeted by the friendliest staff! The atmosphere is cozy like you're eating dinner at a friend's house. We will definitely be back again soon! Our new favorite place!

After quite a few visits, I brought my dad to Scalessa's to get his Patriarch opinion... and as I thought, he gave a two He said they were the best gnocchis he's ever had! I asked if they could make me Aglio e Olio since it wasn't on the menu, and they did to perfection. We always get the delish calamari, and their meatball salad never disappoints! Can't leave without trying the mouthwatering butter cake.. yum! Feels like I'm at Nonna's when there Thanks, Scalessa's!

Subbing at St. Ann 's today and forgot my lunch...had to get some steps in and stumbled on Scalessa 's..What a find! Everyone was so nice, the grilled chicken salad I ordered was fantastic, and the owner (at least I think he was the owner from the menu picture)talked me into a little piece of lemon ricotta cake..he said it was 'light ' . It was amazing!!! Great place in Trolley. We will absolutely be headed there for dinner!!

What a great lunch and dinner location....probably for breakfast but that will have to wait for my next visit. Great food and hospitality....something for everyone. Donnie has the best Italian food in Delaware and cares about his customers.
