Schmaltz Deli - Reservar mesa

The restaurant has relocated and undergone expansion, giving it a completely fresh look. They offer all the classic Jewish deli staples, including my mom's favorite: smoked white fish! The owner is actively involved, ensuring that every customer is satisfied—he even greets guests and often opens the door to bid them farewell. The atmosphere was lively, as if the pandemic had never occurred here. Make sure to head to the front to grab a number from the red ticket machine, then feel free to explore the place. There’s also seating for dining in. It’s a fantastic deli!

I can't say enough good things about this deli. The food is delicious and I truly miss it. Downtown Chicago used to have many delis, and I'm so glad we made the trip. We also learned that they are relocating, but fortunately, it's not far from their current spot—just around the corner on Ogden. It seems like they'll be in their own stand-alone building.

Quality authentic classic delicatessen food. You know, tasty pastrami, corned beef, matzoh ball soup, latkes. There aren't many places where you can get this quality. Even the pickles are first rate! Man, just the smell of my pastrami sandwich! Of course the people are great, and service is very friendly. Get some as soon as you can.

We love the new location and were super pleased with our order for St. Patrick's Day. The sandwiches were amazing. We had the classic Corned Beef sandwich, Sloppy Paul, and Adams. They were all kid and an adult approved. We will certainly be back soon. Keep up the great work! Reserve uma mesa agora

Sandwich was very good. Meat and bread delicious but mustard a bit too spicy. Was not aware it had horseradish in it or would have ordered regular mustard. Would have preferred potato chips or fries rather than bagel chips also.

In May 2022, I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it exceeded my expectations. Every bite was absolutely delicious! We shared the #14 Sloppy Paul and some latkes.
