Brauhaus Schönbuch

Title says it all. I live in the US but was in BB in June and noticed people complaining at this restaurant. I thought give 'em a break, they just got out of lockdown! Now I 'm back here 4 months later, having dinner dinner with my mom at the Brauhaus. It turned out that what I had ordered wasn 't available on that day (they ran out), but the waiter didn 't know until after our order was in. He comes back to the table 15 minutes after we made our order to ask me to order something else. No problem, these minor communications mishaps can happen. Spacious parking, inexpensive dishes, enough choices for most, but NOT if you have gluten or other intolerance. Fast and friendly service, but the dishes come 5 to 10 min apart, so you have to start eating before others. What left the bad taste was the two smallest request, for the minisalat and the change of bread (which had gluten) to potatoes that were charged 5 euros extra each. Thus, a 10 euro in extras was charged to 37 euros as a 27% overload. The server has certainly not pointed out! And she should have done it. So 2 out of 5 is just because I'm in good mood today.

Another couple brought me here to help them with some budgetary problems. This place is always a way to get in the free hours when so many other places closed. It's probably my tenth time to eat here. The service is always great; the food is always very delicious. My friend and I went with the brewhouse special with muzzles, a small carving, and Spaetzle and his wife went with the famous pigshaxen. We also had a side salad. I had enough to take home for leftovers, especially as I got a healthy part of pigshaxen and all my sparrow. Always reliable in the book!

There is a wide selection of beers. The staff is friendly, patient and, although the bar is very spacious, the service is fast. We were here a few times.

Our friends brought us to a local restaurant and we had a great experience. All meals and drinks were amazing. We'll be back next time on our trip.
