Schuetzenhaus Handschuhsheim

We first visited this restaurant two years ago and fell in love with the owners, the restaurant and of course the food. We finally made it back to Heidelberg 2 years later, and of course had to re-visit our favourite restaurant that we had found previously. We were staying in the city centre, and a short tram ride and stroll past some beautiful gardens we were back, sat on the terrace and sampling some delicious food and drinks on Saturday evening.We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, atmosphere and food are exceptional which is a credit to the owners - and being so close to trams to get back to the centre is really convenient.Thanks for making us so welcome again!

even if I've been in the mood for many years, I haven't written any ratings yet, which I'm finally trying to catch up. because this restaurant deserves to be highly praised. here is just everything: quality, fresh, service, ambiente and price/performance. I look forward to the self-made piroggi fillings and the butter sauce every time. but on the saibling, the wild dishes, the carvings and the salads are just good. and the martinsgans from november tastes with red herb and raw potato dumplings as at the time at my oma, which came out of shelves. the self-baked cakes are a dream!We like to come back to every season.

a small hidden bead between glovesheim and dossenheim. we were eating with the family during the week so there was no problem to reserve places.The children got their carving "wiener art" and were very satisfied. the menu is not overcrowded, but has dishes for every taste. we have tried the specificity of the house, the variation of the pierogi and were surprised. For the next visit, and it will be safe, we have found our taste directions!The services are very attentive and friendly.We can make a clear recommendation!

we found this restaurant recommended by the slow food. we have been living in gloves’ homes for 10 years and had never heard of this restaurant before. the approach was adventurous the first time. In the meantime we know the way very well:) and the small menu too. here are some dishes that I had eaten so well or so well (Caribbean tomaten soup, meerretich soup, saibling, pierogi). the simple tastes especially here. I find the food very tasty, tried a few different things. I like the pierogis, with which I feel it as a real luxury. is usually not filled with the big portion and need something else:/sweetly situated, a real place of rest.

behind the inconspicuous outside view of the hidden restaurant is a solid kitchen to attractive trips. are recommended among others the wild dishes that vary according to hunting luck. the service is intrusive and effective.

Restoration is not directed solely on Polish food, but is a struggling of its own production in 6 variations, bigos, pie, and house cheese. He was also a real Vienna sniper, a thin, thin, flexible and chruping. "Wojciech".

zigeuner schnitzel is not very cheap at 15,40€, but thin you eat only panade!
