It's a neighborhood favorite. Their food is good, but could be great. Choices are ok but could offer a wider range... such as lamb chops, as lamb is not offered at all. Let's introduce some stews, some seasonal soups and some focaccia. There's a bar there, so increase the items available. One of the problems is that I have never gotten the same item prepared the same way twice... too many inconsistencies and variables. Example... rueben sandwiches (soaked wet bread and almost no cole slaw)and mussels in wine sauce. They taste different every time. With the mussels, the garlic tastes burned and bitter. The first time I had it, before the place closed... was excellent...offered with toasted cr...
We used to go to SCT before it closed in 2018. As of today this place will no longer get any of my business. Just ordered $12 baked clams(3) which could have been heated up in a microwave because there was zero texture from a broiler. Also ordered an $11 wedge salad with bacon. This order took 35 min for cans and a salad with three tables seated inside. This place is so over priced for what it is. This was my second experience after the reopen and the first experience was a plain Jane burger. My money will be going elsewhere.
Feel there has been a change recently and not for the better. I'm unsure if the chef changed but the food was prepared a bit differently on a dish I get often. The service was only fair in an empty restaurant. I'm sad to say I will be taking a break for awhile. I hope they improve as I like the location and have loved the food in the past.
