"We saw an ad board for Seed Greek Kouzina as we walked down a small road in Petersham towards the main New Canterbury Road. It read ‘6-course for $35 every Tuesday and Wednesday’. If you like eating out, I’m sure you agree with me that a 6-course meal for $35 is a very good bargain… oh I forgot to mention: you also get a glass of wine for that price!"

You know that it’s a legit Greek restaurant when you realise it’s a small world and that two of your Greek ex-colleagues are dining there with their partners on the same night.<br/ <br/ ...<br/ <br/ The food was top notch quality. Our waitress recommended the slow cooked lamb shoulder with smoked eggplant puree. The dish did not disappoint. The smokiness of that eggplant was beyond smoky (did the smoke alarm go off?! and it completely made the dish. The lamb was tender, savoury and just falling apart.<br/ <br/ I also loved the entree dish which was a special of the night – crispy school prawns. Crispy was a bit of an understatement and I loved that the prawns didn’t taste greasy at all.<br/...

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Seed Kouzina. The Theio Sam banquet was an impressive parade of delicious Greek food. My favourites were: the trio of dips and fresh pita; the fork tender lamb kleftiko (though some people found it too rich and fatty) and the cabbage and walnut salad (I could've eaten the whole bowl). Special mention goes to the rice pudding with coconut and mango. The creamy dessert reminded me of a Weiss bar. Service was brisk but not unfriendly. Seed is definitely worth checking out if you're after good food for a big group.

Not quite sure how they manage it but somehow the food here is both modern Greek but totally recognisable and not a hint of pretension. From the entrees the pickled octopus and the sardines were the standout. We had the kleftiko for main and the lamb fell apart at the touch of a fork, the potatoes and onions under the lamb had soaked up all the juices and caramelised. Yum! Would suggest going with a group to try more dishes

The food was delicious, from the dips to the lamb, everything was perfectly prepared and authentic. The wine list was great too as, like most people, we don’t often drink Greek wine, but the white we chose paired very well with the food. The coffee flavoured creme brûlée was a great way to end the meal with the traditional coffee. The wait staff were attentive and we’d happily return.
