Selina's South East Cafe

My sister and I went here for lunch on Friday March 11/22 in the noon hour, it was very busy, only 2 waitresses were working. We sat down, 1 waitress brought us a menu. The other waitress seemed to be walking around aimlessly. Finally the 2 spoke and the wandering waitress came over to our table and asked what we would like to drink....she brought us our drinks, we asked what the soup was and she had no idea, she said she hadn't been told...so as the other waitress walked by she asked her and she didn't know she had to go ask in the kitchen.Then we asked about the lunch special and she had no idea, she said again she hadn't been told. I have tried this restaurant on a number of occasions and their food is consistently sub par. I find the restaurant itself dirty and greasy. The waitresses, however, are very nice. I have noticed the owner treats them very poorly and somehow feels it is appropriate to yell at them in front of customers. I only went into the washroom once and decided right then and there to skip it and wait till I got home yuck. So in summary, because the food is very lackluster, the restaurant doesn't seem very clean, and the owner is rude to his staff AND customers, I have only given 1 star. I would give zero; however it won't let me. So, if you're looking for great food, Sarnia has so many good restaurants...

love selinas. I've been there for years. in the did, a group of 13 of us go all the time there. we love the good service and good food. deb our waitress is amazing. we love her. we were always grateful for the experience every time we go what is weekly. they always make sure everyone is safe and takes care of them. the whole team is like family. thanks selinas.

Absolutely LOVE Selina's South End Cafe - the food is so fresh, including the fruit. Your not getting fruit out of a can at this location, your getting freshly cut fruits. Everything on the menu is delicious - I only wish on Sundays they would offer the entire menu as an option instead of having "excluding sundays" Prices are very good too!!!

wanted to share the big breakfast, but they said they didn't do it anymore. menu online is not like the menu now. was really nice last time, but not so much. I thought we were cheap and somehow smelled them of profit. just wanted a short light breakfast for 2. will not be back.

The food is sub par at best, the owner/cook is very rude and unacommodating. Spend your money at any other restaurant in Sarnia. This place is just not worth it.
