The classic old timer Ozzie Chinese restaurant. Spacious but basic decor. U won 't be coming or bringing your friends here to bask on the ambience. Come here often enough and they will even remember your name and 'usual '. As far as I can tell, Shangri-La is one of those suburban Chinese restaurants that have stood the test of time. The decor and menu offering, especially the Sunday specials have been around since day one. Every Sunday, the chef serves up a Chinese/Malaysian specialty(s) for lunch and you can tell that's when the regular patrons flock in, usually after morning church service.<br/ <br/ As for us, Shangri-La sets the benchmark for their fish head noodle soup. No place can beat these guys. The fish head is beautifully deep-fried and the soup is perfectly balanced with the right amount of tang from the preserved vegetables and tomatoes.
