Sher-e-punjab - Reservar uma mesa

After coming from California n doing so many restaurants here i choose Sher e punjab coz it was late night n me n my friend were hungry. I went for mutton biryani n he went for chole bhature and I’m quite impressed how good the Biryani was! In US, I am a person who always is disappointed with mutton biryani coz i used to have really good mutton biriyani from my Muslim relatives during eid n in india my neighborhood had really great mutton dishes… I found that content feeling after such a long time! My friend said he enjoyed his chole bhature too! Portion size was comparatively small but was sufficient for me. Plates, seating, bathrooms below average…

Based on a recommendation from a friend we tried dinner at this restaurant. We ordered , pannier tika , fish tika , makkidi roti sarson ka saag, puri chole and mirchi bajji. To our surprise , paniier tikka was not made in tandoor , it was pan fried like chili pannier with full of onions and taste was not that great . Fish Tika was ok and right quantity. Makki roti saag was very good . Puri was oily and china’s was ok . Overall ok experience for one time try .

It's one of those hidden gems that only a local edison people know! And we were lucky to find about it and are looking back to returning multiple times. We had: 1) Makki ki roti sarson ka saag: (4/5) 2) Fish Tikka dry : (5/5). it was so soft and flavourful 3) Chicken tikka and Onion kulcha: (5/5) 4) Malai kulfi: (5/5) And the people that work there are really sweet and welcoming. Great customer service. Highly recommended!

I visited after 2 years. And nothing has changed. Food is delicious. Portion size is less even when comparing with price of other restaurants which have better portion size and are costly but they have better service and ambience too. I didn't visited here in last 2 years was only because of portion size. I don't mind the ambience and service though. The biggest positive is closing time. They are open till 11 PM.

Finally old good days Punjabi food is back as original owners are back. In their absence it became mexicanjabi. Easily best Punjabi/North Indian food on oak tree that comes closer to home cooked food.
