Comfortable seating is all this eatery has to offer, as a family we called in to have brunchYou have to go up to the counter to order and pay just like so many places of this type of none service cafe. The menu is set with the many 'options ' costing a lot extra should you choose. The 'Big Breakfast " was not a big breakfast, very little on the dish to support such a claim, No sausage No hash brown, nothing but the normal items expected on a regular bacon and egg breakfast offering, of course if you wanted you could Order the "extra"items you'd expect to have on a Big Breakfast and pay more for them,, this meal isn't cheap and it isn't what you'd expect either, the B.L.T. Is another example...

The price of food here is ridiculous. A small piece of cake is close to ten dollars, and main meals are excessively priced for the very poor quality food. The staff also do not have an awareness of their product, and are not helpful for allergy sufferers. We ordered a kids nacho's, and asked if they knew if it could be gluten free for one of my children. The staff simply indicated they did not know, but made no effort to find out. When asked if they could check, they said "oh sorry i can't do that" and called to someone in the back who simply yelled out, "if it's not stated GF on the menu, then its not". Further, we ordered a GF brownie/cupcake, which was tiny and dry with horribly hard awfu...

I ordered fruit toast and I am sure it was stale before toasting and to make it worse it was the thinnest piece of toast I have ever eaten It worked out I was paying over $2 per slice of toast with a scraping of butter. I order fruit toast regularly and in most Cafes you get a large chunky piece of toast. The only fruit in the toast was a few sultanas. I think it was a store brought day old home brand bed. Shingle Inn is poor quality and very over priced.

Great coffee, lovely relaxing surrounds, this is my little treat café. The manager is very accommodating and ensures customers receive very good meals. I'm strictly gluten free & have various food sensitivities but there are great options here & I always receive a bit extra since GF bread is so tiny. This is such a thoughtful touch & really appreciated. Service is usually pretty good at the cash register. There are yummy GF sweets too!! Reserve uma mesa agora

If you love to "People Watch", while you take a break from shopping, The Shingle Inn in Capalaba park Shopping Centre is the place to do it! Choose the Huge comfortable lounge chairs in front of the restaurant, order a delicious snack or pastry delight from the menu and sit back and enjoy the passing parade of "people passing!" The food is affordable, the setting relaxing and staff friendly!What more could you want!

Situated in the main shopping plaza and just a few metres away from the Coffee Club sits Cleveland's Shingle Inn. Look out Coffee Club you've got serious competition... Whether you want a meal or simply a coffee break the Shingle Inn is the place to go for great atmosphere, great food, tea and coffee and great friendly staff. Try it - you won't be disappointed...

A catch-up Saturday morning tea was very pleasant here. Although we didn't indulge, they have a good range of cakes and pastries, very tempting. Our tea and coffee came quite quickly and was a fair price. Plenty of comfortable seats from which to watch the shoppers go by. Service was friendly, I especially liked being thanked on our way out.

Apart from the cosy furniture and the warm homely atmosphere, the breakfast was all you could wish for. Perfect eggs, delicious bacon just right and piles of buttery toast. My daughter and I had a great coffee and chai latte and the price was excellent Reserve uma mesa agora

$16 for 2 pieces of bread with cheese, ham and pineapple on it... This place was extremely disappointing when compared to the Green Double Decker around the corner. Don't stop, you'll be disappointed

Very enjoyable break. The butterscotch and white chocolate scones are incredible. Staff were very pleasant to deal with.
