Shoku Izakaya - Reservar uma mesa

Our group was starving and looking for a place in Banff that wasn't as close to the large crowds. We stumbled upon this place and it was empty so we decided to give it a go. That should have been our warning. The inside is aesthetically pleasing and well decorated. They have a bar area and plenty of room inside as well as outdoor seating. I ordered the salmon however was later told they were out of it so they offered me the tuna instead. The fish was good but that's all you get, no real sides with entries. The rest of my group also felt the portions were small. Overall the consensus was that it was not a good meal and would not recommend.

very enjoyed this place! we ate in their other restaurant, block kitchen before a few nights and that was so good that we had to try this place. everything we had was so good. excellent service also! the oysters were fresh, lively sauce. we had the grilled skalopp I could eat. the same with the rib-eye. Sushi rolls were also delicious. many options for vegetarian and vegan also.

We looked up yelp for Asian foods and found this one with good rating. Food taste good. However, the size of dishes is very small. We ordered black cod, beef tataki and summer salad for two persons. Only salad came as full size. We left half full.

Food is fine, but small portions. Service was inadequate; not only did they forget our order, but did not tell us the restaurant did not have it. We also waited for about 10 minutes before someone came to our table for the order water.

in juni twice there. directly in the center of banff. next to the famous mt royal hotel. great service and good food. wonderful ambiente. portions are large. good to share so that they can taste more dishes.
