Skinner’s - Reservar uma mesa

Walked here while waiting for car maintenance to be completed across the street. Upon entry, I was the « only one » and yet the bar was pretty busy but the bartender (never caught her name, but she wore glasses) she greeted me and offered me seating. Being greeted while in a bit of a rush is always a great start to the service that can typically be followed. I ordered the fish sandwich (not walleye) the other. Forgot the menu item. However the fish sandwich came out fresh and hot! The ambiance is your typical small bar atmosphere but the service from the bartender was AMAZING! I picked up a pizza for take out. It was OUTSTANDING! I don't know why I hadn't had one before, but I've will be adding Skinners to my pizza rotation. Great crust, one of the best I've ever had. Sauce was very good and toppings were plentiful. Cheese was very good and golden brown. I can't say enough about this pizza.

Food is very good. A varied menu. I had the lunch special, which was a chicken teriyaki and pineapple sandwich. Extremely good with homemade fries. The atmospheres is sort of typical of 1940s bar that has not been improved much but that’s kind of the vibe too.

What a great neighborhood bar! My family gatherings always end up at Skinner’s. The service is friendly and efficient, even with big groups. Get the totchos.
