We were celebrating a friend's birthday, and she chose Sophia's Cafe for our lunch gathering. I arrived early and immediately noticed the relaxed atmosphere. Since we had called ahead, a reserved table was ready for our group of ten. I ordered the Greek salad with added gyro meat for an extra charge. Next time, I'll opt for the gyro salad, as it seems quite similar. We also shared hummus and pita for the table to try. Since you order at the counter, each of us placed our orders individually. Delicious. The kafta kabob and lamb shawarma entrees are full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The egg and mozzarella cheese pie was a first for both of us and amazing. We also ordered a side of falafel and baba ghanouj both vegan and gluten free. The falafel came out light, springy delicious and green centered from the mix of parsley. The eggplant dish benefited by mixing the olive oil and paprika, usually found in the middle, as the lemon sourness of the puree made any number of combinations of acidity to savory spicy possible in just one dish. I had lunch here today with a group of four, and it was an excellent experience. The food arrived really quickly, was hot and fresh, and had an incredible aroma. The flavors definitely matched the appealing look and smell—it was fantastic, and the portion sizes were generous. All four of us agreed that we would return for another meal. We're excited to explore more options on the menu, especially the Greek fries! As for parking, there’s plenty of convenient space available.
