We just had dinner at Spigolo two days ago and enjoyed ourselves immensely. This has been our third time here and they never disappoint. The ambience is very nice but the food and service are excellent. We had the Savor Vaughan special which gave us many options. We had white pizza, polenta with mushrooms, I had a fantastic chicken dish and my wife had grouper. She loved her main. Desserts were included and fresh. Jennifer our waitress could not have been better. She was kind, attentive, very helpful and a credit to the establishment. We will definitely be returning soon. Great value for the money.
Overall it was evident that Spigolo was not prepared to host a New Year's Eve event. They didn't have the beer or wine selection available on their menu to start the evening.. this escalated to a burned focaccia and substituting shrimp for lobster for the main course. 7 of 8 people at our table received their main dish at the same time, however the 8th waited an additional 30 minutes. the dessert was tiramisu which tasted like it was soaked in water... A very poor effort for a restaurant that I heard good things about.
Spigolo truly is a hidden gem in Woodbridge. This is a small restaurant operated by a husband and wife. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. The lamb and seafood risotto we order was cooked to perfection and didn't take long to be brought to our table after it was ordered. If you are looking for a nice place to eat in Woodbridge, I highly recommend Spigolo. You will not be disappointed.
