Thanks so much to Craig and the team! Mum`s 70th get together was delayed 2 years due to covid. Craig sorted us an area for free at one end of the pub, brilliant communication throughout. No problem to drop the cake and balloons earlier in the day. We already had our dj booked and deposit paid 2 years prior, Craig was happy to have him and the area was perfect. We also had a photographer. Craig also sorted the finger food, which was snapped up super quick! It was a family gathering for all ages, so Craig allowed us 4-9pm so that the children were allowed in. There were around 30 of us and the area Craig sorted was perfect. We went to the spread Eagle for pre dinner drinks, first time we've been there. We found the staff really friendly and said they had just started doing cocktails again, espresso martini is my drink so we ordered two of them. They was excellent, really well made either with normal vodka or vanilla vodka, best I'd had in a while when out and about, Would highly recommend. We sat in the beer garden which was nice, could do with a speaker out there with a bit of background music. Didn't have food there but the pizzas and burgers looked very tasty

I come to The Spread Eagle fairly regularly for drinks and a bite to eat with friends. I think there is a new chef and this week the Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious. Tender meats (previously it’s been slightly dry or covered in excess gravy) and all tasted really fresh. Look forward to coming back and trying more of his cooking! Service and atmosphere was great as usual. Thank you team spread for a lovely bank holiday Sunday!

With a new landlord, a new food menu, cocktails and more events. My friend and I decided to go along to one of the Tuesday evening quiz evenings and we were so glad we did, we went back the week after. First week we tried something from the new menu, just a few nibbles. We chose from the 3 for £12 menu, just something to keep us going with our bottle of Shiraz. Great night. Had the most delicious roast today from the Spread Eagle. Being Valentine’s Day we decided to order our Sunday roast especially with lockdown on and not able to go anywhere. The pork chop was amazing and so tender and tasty and the chicken was corn fed. Never had corn fed chicken before but certainly will again. All the veg was fresh and cooked to perfection. So much dinner enough for tomorrow too.

We’d heard a lot about the takeaway roasts during lockdown and thought we’d try them out. Soooo glad we did...What a find! They couldn’t be more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is delicious and so reasonably priced. Such a lovely treat on a Sunday. Can’t wait for them to open their doors again so we can visit in person. Give them a try... I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Booked a table for 8.30 on open table website. On arrival at the pub we where told the kitchen closed at 8.30 and could not order food. This despite that on booking the table a sample menu was offered and the pubs own website states food is available until 9.00. The man behind the bar presumably the manager) was unapologetic and didn’t seem to care

Booked a place at the Spread Eagle to watch England play on 25th Nov. Advised today (23rd Nov) that my booking has been cancelled as they have apparently scheduled a private party. Due to the short notice, I am unable to secure anywhere else to watch the football. Thanks! I hope your lack of integrity doesn't end up biting you where it hurts. Reserve uma mesa agora

Fab last minute roast dinner, we booked only 1 hour before we arrived and managed to get a table for 6 and the food was fabulous

Had the roast tomahawk pork dinner yesterday.....it was huge! Absolutely delicious and will definitely order again
