Square Victoria - Reservar uma mesa

We had been strongly recommended to pay a visit to Sqare Victoria in Menton by a friend of the owner. We had checked out the menu and decided to go for dinner. On arrival we were placed in a corner of a stuffy porch which was close to a main road and very noisy. The overall appearance of the restaurant had deteriorated over the last couple of years and could benefit from another refit. Although we got menus immediately, we had to attract attention before we could order water and an aperitif. We enjoyed the dishes we had - paella and a pasta dish with red mullet - but we were seated near to the road tunnel which was noisy and distracting. The panna cotta for desert was one of the best I have ever had - as light as a feather. Service was good as was overall value. Pizzas were popular and several people came in for takeaways.

Arrived without a reservation, and they were very gracious and found us a table. They were very busy. Our meal was excellent, house wine very good. Prices very reasonable compared to many other restaurants in Menton. Very charming atmosphere, service excellent.

Best place we have found for a tasty, no-nonsense Italian meal. Great value and a superb find. We have 3more weeks in Menton and expect to return several times. Pannacotta out of this world!

I loved this place. It is a genuine family-run concern, with excellent food and attentive service and full of locals. I ate there twice in 3 days I liked it so much.
