Stadtkind Konstanz

I have tried over the years of my visits to Konstanz to make it into Stadtkind, but the place was always was mostly booked. Success on this visit, though. Stadtkind has a variety of seating options from padded chairs, rustic wooden furniture, window seats and throw pillows around the place. There is an additional seating area in the back room kitchen display area. The staff is professional, friendly and efficient. Place your order and pay at the counter and grab a seat. I came shortly after opening and had the choice of seats at one of the window tables with the front or side view, several tables, but I took a seat in the rear room. This neighbourhood café has a great staff and a very relaxed welcoming environment. There is a wide selection of freshly baked breads, sweets, desserts, muffins, cakes, cookies, donuts, hot cold drinks and more. I ordered what was a massive piece of her rhubarb cake (3.20€ and a almond milk hot chocolate (3.20€). .30€ . Both items were delicious! A free cookie is served with any order. As Italian, every time I go outside of Italy, I have to face the problem of finding a good coffee. In Konstanz this place makes a very good espresso, recommended. It also serves beautiful breakfast combinations that I did not try. Espresso is 2 euros, almost twice as Italy, but the price is in line here.

The service is friendly, the breads are great and the Rhabarb tea is the best in constancy! The hours on Sunday are too short and the breakfast menu is too easy, but the coffee and the atmosphere make up for it.

We went here because they offered gluten-free and vegan. Good value, much for your money, it kept us fired all day. Also in a really beautiful part of the city.
