Steam Packet Hotel Restaurant

We wandered in for lunch on a Monday public holiday and there was a nice amount of people in the pub but we were seated in the bistro part of the restaurant which is a comfortable space. We were quickly served, menu options explained and our drink orders were taken. One of my pet peeves is when wait staff don’t write orders down, particularly when we were asking for slight changes to be made. But the staff member who stood there nodding as she took our order did absolutely everything right. Our drinks arrived correctly, our meals arrived correctly and the four of us were very impressed.
