Steamers Seafood Cafe

Today we went to Steamer's to celebrate my sister passing her certification test for RN level nursing and we had such a lovely time. The food was delicious as usual and the service excellent despite the restrictions placed on restaurants due to the pandemic. Our server was prompt, kind , and cheerful all while wearing a mask in order to be able to work in a public setting. We had meals of their wonderful chowder for me, coconut prawns for my sister, followed by coleslaw, fish chips for us both. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Overall I was happy with the establishment, it's a very simple fast food style restaurant with a nice eat in area. There is a nice outdoor seating area. The only downside of the site was the active train tracks. Arriving at the parking area was moderately confusing as it's across the train tracks for the facility. The signage for the parking area was not completely obvious. The upside of the small drive way for the site is that it gives you the chance to unload any mobility challenged close to the site and park. The view is absolutely wonderful and the food was priced at a good value.

Love the Chowder Bowl! Can't wait to try more items! They make specialties daily and have heated outdoor seating. You also have a fantastic view of the water! Update: 26 Jan 2021- we had the Halibut fish and chips this time. If you love fried seafood, you get that. (This means that PLEASE pays the premium for Halibut.
