In the last years, i was visiting this place too often with friend and family and enjoyed my stay there. This restaurant is run through a young crew who try to serve and explain things to the customer with a special Viennese humour. In the last period things become extreme and some of the servant if you do not enjoy or laugh to their jocks they become no more funny but unfriendly in a way if you are not Viennese you will not understand the change and realise the difference. What I did not like in this place that we informed the owner that the men toilet need light maintenance and always saying that they will do that in the next period. Since few years, nothing happened. Fortunately, this is nowhere near the normal Vienna tourist trail, it’s just a bit too far out. Probably the only way a tourist is going to come here is with a local and that’s the way I found it!. Excellent local beer and a wide range of Austrian dishes all served with good humour and a lot of good suggestions from the staff. There is an English menu for those of foreign origin and a garden for whenever it doesn’t rain !! So, if you know a local and they take you there, you won’t be disappointed. I’m certainly going back....
My father's birthday lunch was held here. Apart from the vegetarian pasta dish we ordered for my daughter, which lacked taste, the food was excellent. All else, on the other hand, was fantastic. Oysters tasted delicious and clean, lobster was sweet, beef tartar was excellent, and goose terrine was also excellent. It's not a cheap lunch, but it's ideal for a special occasion.
Stogy risotto which was tasteless and flavourless, hadn’t a big lot on the menu for English tastebuds apart from brains and offal but if you were wanting to try something different definitely the place to go but I wouldn’t recommend it and don’t sell rose wine so couldn’t even have a drink with my dinner.
