Stevenson Tavern - Reservar uma mesa

We came here on the basis of the RL Stephenson book of his travels with a donkey, but I think the food has been left in that era! Whilst the place is nice, the staff are friendly, the food was truly awful. The selection of pizzas is weird enough, but once it came (late) it was cold and the toppings were bad - heaps of soggy red/yellow peppers on one, actual pasta tubes on another - pasta on a pizza! We will not be going back to this place - sorry!

Struggling to find an empty table we happened upon this place. Welcome was friendly, service helpful and efficient. We sat in the garden which was pleasant but, while I like dogs, I am still not keen on them being in a restaurant and sharing food with their owners. Pizzas were OK but nothing special and desserts covered in the ubiquitous squirty cream!

The setting made this meal more enjoyable. Service was very good, the nice young man who looked after our table was very attentive. Food was okay and good value for money. I would go back if there weren't so many restaurants in this lovely village.

Had dinner in the garden at La Marbrerie hotel in Caunes-Minervois last night.
