really beautiful and real German kindergarten in kettwig altstadt. traditional German house cooked food in lush portions. very friendly and attentive staff. we had lunch with pfifferlingen suppe and bauernsülze. simple and good German weine available by the glass (in generous size.) extremely cheap prices....Recommended!

For those wish to experience genuine German hospitality, good food, enchanting environment and the charm of of a little medieval German village, go for Stiege in Kettwig, Essen.Good real food, super-friendly staff and a location/view to dream about!On top of everything, it's excellent value, hence worth a long detour!
Following a walk through the old picturesque town of Kettwig we went for a late lunch to Stiege. We were not disappointed. We sat in the serene beer garden at the back and enjoyed a very traditional lunch with beer and currywurst and enjoyed the...view of the beautiful surroundings.
