Sugar Beans Coffee House, Specialty Coffee And French Bakery

During my first visit to the restaurant, I inquired about their frozen coffee options. The young man at the counter told me that "everyone can be eaten," which I found confusing. I explained that I was looking for something more special, like a fancy coffee. He then handed me a menu. I ordered something that was described as a mix of dark chocolate, salted caramel, espresso, and mini chocolate chips. However, when he served my drink, it was missing dark chocolate and chocolate chips entirely. I called him back to address my order, and he insisted that it did contain dark chocolate. Terrible. We walked in and they just stared at us like we interrupted their day (There was no one else in the there. Hair in my food, stale bread, and they served me a sandwich with no sauce. When I asked about the sauce they told me they were out AFTER They served me the sandwich. Thankfully they refunded us for the sandwich, but I’ll never go back.

Had a very large group meet up there today. No heads up, sorry... every order was perfect, food was great! My London fog was amazing. The owner was great, came out and talked to us. Lots of regulars came in. This place employs young people with disabilities. We had no idea when we made our plans or during our visit.

not the biggest first impression. the personal seemed like they weren't excited to help me or have my business, and my latte was missing taste. I also wanted to order a sandwich, but obviously this was not available because the “person who does this is in a meeting”. I guess no one could make a sandwich?

This is a fantastic little coffee shop! The owner is friendly and clearly passionate about her work and love for coffee. The cookies and gravy are delicious, so be sure to give them a try when you visit!
