This place was highly recommended when you visit the Pasadena area. I was quite hesitant as I received many sushi recommendations, but not overly impressed. Growing up in Japan and after Tsukiji many times for sushi go directly from the boats, I am picky when it comes to sushi. However, SugarFish was very impressive. I love this simple menu, no extra sauces give sushi spots. Quality fish meat with excellent rice. I don't think there are reservations. It is first to serve first and seats can be mixed with other parties You start with some simple Edamame I decided to use the “Trust me” with tuna sashimi, albacore sushi, salmon sushi, toro hand roll, Japanese yellow tail sushi, Hirami sushi blue dungess crabs hand roll. I have also added the uni Sushi, Lobster Handrolle, unagi Sushi Bay Scallops Handrolle. I'm a big eater every piece was on the point. We used to live in LA and the one spot we had to go back within the 2 days visiting was sugarfish! The most clutch and affordable sushi place you will ever find. Consistency wise you can't beat them! Try kazu nori as well if you have not already. Same owner, just as delicious but a different experience. The fish melts in your mouth along with the perfectly temperatured rice.

Very delicately prepared take and very worthy of IG. It is a bit expensive and I was still hungry, even if I ordered to share some additional roles. It was worth a try! I wanted to pick it up on Friday night at 9 a.m. and the restaurant was so full! Excellent service and friendly host.
