Sugarfish By Sushi Nozawa

Came here during the third wave. Wasn’t planning on coming here but found it on Google last minute when we were near Santa Monica. The staff was kind and informative that the chef/owner of the restaurant is well-known ans has a few locations. I knew based on the ambiance once I sat down that this was going to be great sushi. I ordered the THE NOZAWA TRUST ME and I’m so glad I did. As I am from Toronto, it is not often that I fresh seafood from the Pacific. The sashimi and salmon literally melts in your mouth and the amount of food was perfect. A tad more would’ve been excessive and less would’ve left me hungry. Best sushi I’ve ever had. Expensive, yes, but worth the ~experience Bay Scallops cut roll was divine unagi sushi was my favorite!! -BF got the Nowaza Trust Me. He loved it, but was still hungry after both our visits. Would recommend maybe 2/3 cut rolls for those big eaters. Downside was the vibe. Felt kinda of pretentious. Would have enjoyed more if I saw some more smiling faces!! PS 16% gratitude already included
