Sunday In Saigon - Reservar uma mesa

We came here for a Saturday morning brunch. Made reservations, not knowing if it would be very busy or not (reservations weren't necessary). The bottomless brunch was $38 per person, along with 5¢ cocktails mainly consisting of Bellini variants. My favorite was the Saigon **** Mary which was VERY spicy from red chilli flakes in the mix. If you can't handle spicy, move on to the next. The Banh Bao was all right. The table favorites were the Pho, Mi Xao Gion (crispy noodles topped with stir fried veggies and choice of meat as pictured), and the Cha Gio Ga (fried chicken egg rolls). This restaurant is Americanized Vietnamese and has very nice decorations. But the food was horrible to me, it could be good for my husband but it wasn't good for me. I ordered Hu Tieu, caramelized pork bun and Hue Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, they all were untasty. 1 Caramelized Pork Bun was salty and sour although the meat was soft. 2 Hu Tieu wasn't truly Vietnamese Hu Tieu. It's just a noodle with a bunch of seafood and dark thick sauce. 3 Bun Bo Hue: my husband liked it but I did not, the broth taste like Pho soup and it has a sweetness of MSG. Wow. So many specials. Such great decor. The food is amazing as well. We come here multiple times a week and have made this a go to choice. Definitely ask for recommendations as the menu is very different from anything else in Alexandria. Sit at the bar for the best specials

I didn't order much, but I'm coming back to try more. good mood, easy to order and pay. for me is authentic Vietnamese food.
