Sunken Well Tavern

I have been here multiple times and have always had excellent service. It definitely has a hipster vibe to it. The only knock on the place is calling in reservations. They are way too deserved. Just last night we we had reservations for four. We called back wanting to add two more people to our table. We were told that they couldn't add anymore people because they were booked all night. Normally that wouldn't bother me but when we showed up the place was half empty.

Made a reservation for Sunday brunch an hour ahead and was seated immediately upon arrival. Staff was courteous and efficient. Nice, casual atmosphere. Ordered from the specialty menu. Delicious! Spicy lamb, sunny side up egg, tortillas, avocado salad with a dollop of creme fraiche. Clean plate club!! Everything in my meal was fresh and prepared with care. Will definitely be back!

A great little hole in the wall, just right to have a good, fresh meal and warm, well bodied cup of good coffee or the best brew in one of the top towns in Virginia. A historic place.

Great blue grass music on Sundays. The micro menu has it going on. The pork belly tacos were out of this world. Probably the best hamburger in the Burg.. Go relax enjoy your time.

1st time for lunch, usually breakfast spot. I had the black bean burger. AMAZING. Hands down best BBB I have ever had, and that is always my go to burger.
