Sushi A Go Go - Reservar uma mesa

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Urbandale. The food is indescribable. Sushi cupcakes... Sushi rolls with Rice Krispies cereal...Sounds questionable at best and nauseating at worst, but.. it works. The sushi cupcakes (there are three) are huge chopped up chunks of meat, avocado, whatever the toppings are, compressed on a shaped circle of sushi rice. You need a fork for this bad boy. They are deceptively huge, as they cost less than a standard California roll, but fill you up.The gentleman that is always there preparing the sushi when I come in is just a darling man. I'm really digging this. I really enjoy having and eating sushi, but I dislike the expense, and I don't need the experience every time I want sushi type foods. This place delivers in the gap I like. Great quality food without the high prices and expenses. We had a poke bowl, soup, and a small cooked sushi roll. Everything was very good and when I went to pay I was even more satisfied. We will definitely be back to get our fix again. Food was very fast at 445 beating the supper rush in the door.

I noticed this place once just driving by and we decided to try it for dinner. We went on a Thursday around 6 pm. There were a couple customers inside. We ordered and sat down. While we waited, a few most trickled in and got their to go orders. The food was brought to us in less than 10 minutes. And it was so good. We got two sushi rolls and a chicken teriyaki noodle bowl. We’re newish to the area and already can’t wait to make this our go-to take out. Fast, fresh, affordable.

Great food and great service. Couldn’t ask more than that. Sushi is very fresh and affordable. You get your money’s worth and it is the place to be getting sushi in Johnston.
