Sushi Ichi - Reservar mesa

We arrived a little before opening time, 11:58AM ... We were the first in the restaurant... We know what we wanted, so we were ready to order right away... In the meantime, more people showed up, which is fine... The lone server came to get our order about 10 minutes later... And then, we waited, and waited... Our order was very simple... My wife had order a tuna steak, and I ordered a Ume sushi plate and a spicy tuna roll,,, And then we sat there , seeing take-out orders out the door, and everybody that came after us being served their food, finished and pay.... We finally get our food at 12:50 .... 50 minutes wait for a tuna steak and few sushi... Totally frustrating, and needless to say t...

Stayed in Parksville for a few days, and tried Sushi Ichi based on TripAdvisor reviews. Staff were friendly and food was ok. Not the best sushi we've ever had, but it wasn't bad. Of the menu items we tried, the California roll with real crab, chicken teriyaki donburi, and the veg bento box, everything was just kind of average, or maybe not what we're use to. Portions were good for the price, and the meal hit the spot. The deep fried banana and ice cream for desert was good, not too sweet with the tempura batter.

Ichi Sushi is a quaint sushi restaurant, located on Parksville's main strip. The food is always fresh, very well prepared and tasty at a very reasonable price. If you prefer takeout, just call ahead and it will be ready by the time you get there. Pop by the BC Liquor Store nearby to get some saki to go with your meal! Our favourite are the Dynamite Roll, the Philadelphia Roll, the Prawn Tempura and the Gyoza. The Tuna Tataki is sublime!

I went because Samurai Sushi was closed. Mistake! The service was really slow and wait staff was inattentive. Took 20 minutes for a simple dish to arrive. Presentation was nil. I had chicken yakisoba. It looked and tasted like it came from a no name frozen meal. Everyone else at my table was disappointed as well. Will not go back. Save your money Reserve uma mesa agora

The best and freshest Sushi on the island is in Parksville. The owner and head chef is actually from Japan!!! Your can order anything you wish - on or off the menu for some amazing creations. We love to sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs in action. We've visited many other Sushi restaurants here, including Victoria, and this place is #1.

We did a take out at this restaurant. The portion of the spinach gommae was very little. The chicken karaage was a let down, thin strips of chicken was served. The unagi roll that we ordered only had a thin layer of unagi sandwiched in between a lot of cucumber. The beef teriyaki roll was the only one we enjoyed from this restaurant.

We all ordered something slightly different and shared. The rolls were tasty and very generous portions. The only problem was that they were so large, they fell apart when you tried to lift them with your chopsticks. The terriaki dishes were lovely. Staff warm and welcoming.

Does'nt look much from the outside, but it is nice friendly Japanese restaurant. Located on the southern Parksville strip, it is located in what look like an old bungalow. But it has cosy character and good food with friendly service Reserve uma mesa agora

We went for lunch and their special...teriyaki chicken, tempura vegetables, California rolls...and some other sides. Everything was delicious. We also ordered the Gyoza and they were very good as well. We will be back.

Love going here, everything is spotless, the chef is a trained Sushi chef from Japan. The menu is extensive and reasonable.
