Sushi Maki South Miami

While visiting Miami, our family decided to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant, Canton; and we were very disappointed to find it had changed. We have been coming here for over 25 years. We almost didn't go in, but it was already such a long drive for us To our pleasant surprise, we were greeted by the same manager, Teddy! He told us that yes they made some changes, but assured us that they still had the same great food, as well as some excellent new dishes. It turnedout to be an amazing experience! The food was as enjoyable as we remembered, and we are mostly grateful for Teddy still being there with his warm smile and genuine hospitality. TL;DR Almost made the mistake of not trying Canto...

Came here with my girlfriend and left beyond satisfied. Shane, the manager, was a huge joy to speak to. Shane provided us with top notch service, kindness, and went above and beyond with a complimentary dessert provided from a small mistake on a previous visit. Sushi Maki at Dadeland will definitely be my go to whenever I am in the area!

Excellent service and food! I enjoyed the vegetarian options for sushi and a very nice hot sake. The fried rice with fried tofu was awesome too. The best part of our dinner was the experience, Karina is an amazing person and she made us feel so lucky to have found this gem. We will definitely return! Thank you Karina! -Katie

The manager Shane truly made my second experience worth it!!! He made my wrong order right the second time coming. He went above and beyond to make it a great visit. thank you for such an amazing customer service and the food was excellent! definitely coming back to this location.

Amazing tasting fresh made to order celebration sushi sashimi dream boat at their newest Dadeland restaurant (used to be the famous Canton Restaurant); wonderful service and great atmosphere. Thanks Sushi Maki! ????????????????????
