I've always heard stories about a hole in the wall spot running from a real Japanese couple. I wasn't disappointed. The service will be slower than what you could use... because there are only two workers. The husband prepares the sushi and perhaps the other objects, while the majority of the waiting tables and the service of the guest is supervised by the woman. You're both sweet people. The food was so delicious and I really don't lie that the Vibes gave me the little diner experience I had in Japan. Do not expect the most beautiful or best looking together restaurant. Definitely my new place for Japanese comfort food now. Prices are fairly affordable. I went at 2pm so it was only half full and there wasn’t much wait time. Chirashi lunch is pretty good at $15. This is one of rare places where akami tuna sashimi is very fresh and clean. The unagi and the rice stood out the most for me. The spicy crunchy salmon maki was great as well — interesting texture and flavour. Agedashi tofu was freshly made and tasted amazing too.
Very recommended! The food is so delicious. Everything we try is very impressive. My favorite is the crispy seasoned salmon salad. Very fresh, tasty, with layers of texture and taste. Must try!! We came on Tuesday afternoon at 2. There are tables that don't have to wait. I was expecting a long wait. But actually we didn't wait long for our first court. Maybe only 15-20 minutes. A really pleasant experience here will definitely come back.
The Pinnacle sample of Mom and Pop Shop. Husband and wife shake hard and into their whole heart. The result in possible long waits, but real passion for quality and service. Spicy scallops, amazing tofu, and fresh sashimi. Place is not at all what awaits you with passion art work from the aunt and coincidence of the decor. I would still come back to try more!
