I recently dined at this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. From the initial email correspondence to our arrival and seating, and especially the service throughout our meal and drink pairings, everything was flawless. The service surpassed all of my expectations, with attentive and intuitive waitresses. Sitting at the bar and watching Chef Noz at work was a highlight, followed by enjoying the delicious dishes he prepared. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time, and were delighted to find a welcome card, a thank you card, and a small gift at our table. The attention to detail was impressive. I want to note that the drink pairings are included with each course, so be prepared to...

One of the only few times I've truly been impressed by the execution of a dish. And it happens consistently on each and every visit. The platings at sushi Noz were definitely some of the more impressive preparations I've had. Technically sound dishes well balanced with textures and flavors. The definition of a once in a lifetime treat. The decor is very quaint unique, resembling a very traditional japanese setting, that takes you into a different era. The staff is very warm and accommodating and it made us feel welcomed. To top it off, they offer great sake and wine selections. And then they say that tipping is needed in order to get good service. Definitely not true, at least at Sushi Noz,...

Nigiri fish cut and quality is great. Sweet shrimp, toro and scallop were my favs. Traditional uncompromising to western crowd, no special sauce, torch top, Mayo or any weird add ons, which allows the original fish meat taste shine through. Great rice, aromatic fresh nori thats all! That shows how confident they are with their fish selection. We did outdoor market dining sushi set for $85 person. With tax and tips together $220. Nicely designed intimate seating with curtains, heater and stereo. Good deal compares to $300+ person inside. But still not cheap. Expected better appetizers than seaweed cucumber salad and plain miso soup. Service was attentive and in-disruptive.

I have visited multiple high-end Japanese restaurants in New York, but Sushi Noz stands out as a truly authentic Japanese dining experience. I appreciate the cozy and zen ambiance of the restaurant, which sets a tranquil tone as soon as you walk in. The dining atmosphere is pleasantly quiet, just the way I like it. Both the service and food are exceptional. I have dined here twice - once before the pandemic and most recently a month ago. There have been several changes, including a different menu. I hope they can return to their original offerings. Reserve uma mesa agora

Seated during our expected reservation time in the Ash Room. There were dividers to separate the groups, and apparently you are not allowed to book a single spot; you must come as a pair or more. Staff is incredibly accommodating and does everything possible to ensure an amazing and seamless omakase experience. Our chef, Joji, was great conversation but also very obviously skilled in preparing fish. We had a great time for our meal! Our favorite pieces were the spot prawn, uni rice with black throat sea perch, and the mackerel.

Well. Interior’s beautiful. Sushi quite awesome. Especially their tuna was outstanding. However it fails to justify the price. There are many other cheaper options in the city with the same quality of nigiris. Amount of food is absolutely pathetic. You’ll need another meal after this. Chef/service Bad. It can be so much better. If you have extra $300+ to burn, and have a small portion, this is going to be a really good experience. Otherwise, it’s won’t provide you too much of pleasure.

I especially enjoyed the pear dish. This review is coming in very late, but I had a generally pleasant experience at this restaurant. The price is in line with what you would expect for an omakase meal in NYC. Initially, I was concerned about the cost, but I was pleasantly surprised. I would give it 4 stars, but I had such a great time that I'm giving it a perfect 5/5 rating. The chef has an excellent memory and the staff are friendly and passionate about their work.
